Taught by a Chartered Physiotherapist, catering for all abilities and ages.

Pilates is a mind-body centering technique designed to strengthen the deep, supporting postural muscles of the spine, pelvis and limbs, restoring correct posture and alignment through the body, and allowing movement to occur freely from a stable centre or `core`.
The original classical exercises were designed by Joseph Pilates over 80 years ago; Pilates is centred around 8 key principles: concentration, breathing, centering, control, precision, flowing movements, isolating movement, and routine.
APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) Modified Pilates has been devised by Physiotherapists and based on research; it breaks down the original exercises into achievable stages, gradually building up strength and flexibility and with the aim of progressing to normal functional movement. This means that clients with existing musculoskeletal problems can access pilates to aid their rehabilitation.
Debbie Simm Debbie has completed all levels of Pilates Matwork training and is a fully certified APPI matwork instructor and is a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist and Member of:
-The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
-Health Professions Council
-The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women`s Health
-The Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice.
She is employed Part time at the local NHS Trust Hospital and has over 17 years experience as a Physiotherapist, 14 years specialising in the field of Womens Health.
Debbie has completed all levels of APPI Pilates Matwork and Class instructor training; She has built a respected reputation as a Pilates instructor in Chester and receives referrals from local Physiothearpists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths into her classes.
Pilates Classes range from Beginners to Intermediate/Advanced.
`Easy Does It` Classes are suited to those who prefer to exercise at a more sedate pace.
Classes run in the daytime and evening in Chester:

Classes are run in 6 week blocks and need to be booked. Please telephone or email to enquire about a place or to discuss which level is right for you.
A medical enrolment form must be completed prior to commencement of classes.
You just need to wear something comfortable to move in, all equipment is provided
